My role in Animal Monday is as director and producer, but ultimately what motivates me is the simple desire to communicate and create. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than finding an interesting idea and making it come to life. I am committed to projects that make a difference, and to the people that have have helped inform and inspire my thinking.
Adam, Will and I have been friends for over a decade – and remain so today despite running a business together for over half that time! Through Animal Monday, I have also been priviledged to spend time with: Faisal Badawi, victim of short-term memory loss; Johnny Hicklenton, militant art wing of Animal Monday and inspirational illustrator and human being; Philippe Dufour and Vianney Halter, master watchmakers and spokesmen for the dying artisan crafts; and the Eunuchs of Lahore who made my trip to Pakistan so singularly colourful that I only just lived to tell the tale…
In August 2006, I started working as Event Co-ordinator on Loop, a celebration of digital culture conceived by Jason Clarke. Loop comprises a one-day event in central Brighton in August 2007, (headlined by Go! Team, Aliens and Fujiya & Miyagi, plus a strong audio-visual component) and an associated series of workshops, under the Loop Futures banner. My roles include procuring public funding for the event and organising courses in event production, music production and documentary making. I am also curating the visuals for the event and have secured media partnerships with Shooting People, Modern Toss, the BBC and ITV local.

Vital Edge Aid is a fundraising media and communications organisation whose mission is to research viable micro-aid projects in the field, then complete those projects by partnerships with informed and motivated donors. It is founded by Robin Saidman, a world class photographer, champion of international health issues and all-round gentleman; my role is project co-ordinator and documentary producer. We initially made a short documentary in India and then worked together in the Noth Western Frontier of Pakistan, where we created a fundraising project to help alleviate the effects of the eathquake. There are many more forthcoming collaborations, including a feature length documentary currently in development.
